Mengo City have made a significant impact in the transfer market with the signing of star player Alas Joshua Aziku from Park FC.

Aziku, who was one of the standout performers of the 2024/25 season.

His impressive performances last season earned him a spot among the final three nominees for the FUFA Futsal Player of the Year award.

He scored 14 goals, helping Park FC finish second behind Mengo City.

One of his most memorable performances came when he scored twice in the Futsal Super Cup final, leading Park FC to a 7-6 win over Mengo City.

Aziku’s arrival adds firepower to an already formidable Mengo City squad, which is aiming to defend both the Futsal Super League and Futsal Uganda Cup titles.

He becomes the club’s third major acquisition of the transfer window, following the signings of Swabur Mugenyi and Billy Nkata.

The 2025/26 season is set to kick off in September, with Mengo City heading in as strong favorites.

However, they will be worried of rising contenders like Kisenyi FC, who continue to make moves in the transfer market. With Aziku on board, Mengo City will be looking to maintain their dominance in Ugandan futsal and make a strong bid for another double.
