Fans urge FUFA to resolve Kitara-Vipers fixture dispute to avoid future controversy
The Platinum Football Fans Association Uganda Limited has called on the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) to urgently resolve the disputed Kitara-Vipers Uganda Premier League fixture, warning that delays could spark future controversy in the title race.

Addressing a press conference at Papyrus Terrace Restaurant in Kampala, Association Chairperson Sultan Hakim Kivumbi stressed that the unresolved matter could have serious implications as the league grows more competitive.
“We want to know the verdict between Vipers and Kitara. We see serious competition in the league, and we might reach a time when it is only a single point that determines the champion,” Kivumbi said.
The association also highlighted several challenges affecting the league, including player suspensions over match-fixing allegations and clubs failing to meet salary and welfare obligations.

Kivumbi cautioned against rushed implementation of FUFA President Eng. Moses Magogo’s proposal to phase out institutional clubs, describing the idea as “progressive but gradual”.
The fans plan to strengthen engagement countrywide, visiting registered fans’ clubs and organizing a SUPL fans’ football tournament.
