BASKETBALL: KIU Rangers bounce from three quarters down to squeeze past St. Noa Girls
National Basketball League (NBL) female side Kampala International University (KIU) Rangers have labored to bounce from three quarters down to win St. Noa Girls Secondary School – Zana by a basket in a highly contested friendly match.
The tight duel was held on a cold Tuesday evening, 30th July, 2024 at KIU court in Kansanga, Kampala.
Hosts KIU Rangers won 76-74 after overturning a five basket trail to win the Zana school girls.
This friendly served as a preparation game for both sides ahead of the next engagements.
St.Noa is gearing up for the forthcoming FEASSA Games due to 16th to 27th August at Bukedea Comprehensive School and Amus College in Teso sub-region.
Meanwhile, KIU Rangers will face off with UCU in the NBL semi-final playoff in a week time. KIU registered a sweep winning 2-0 against Miracle Ravens in the quarter-finals.
UCU have also sealed a 2-0 win series triumph to book a semi-final date with KIU after their 68-58 win in serie two against Magic Stormers at Lugogo. In the other semi-final, JKL will battle JT Jaguars.
