Simon Mugerwa, Wasswa Suspended From Masaza Camp
Bulemezi tactician Simon Peter Mugerwa and Uthman Wasswa (Ssingo Chairperson) have been suspended from the Masaza Cup camp for flouting health guidelines.
It’s confirmed the two escaped from the camp immediately after their respective opening fixtures an act which was abolished by the organizing committee in pursuit to control the spread of Covid-19.
“ Uthuman Wasswa (Ssingo) and Mugerwa Simon Peter (Bulemeezi) are suspended from coming back to the Masaza camp in Njeru.
The committee has based it’s decision on the health guidelines which were given to all teams and officials.” Reads the communication released by the committee.
Mugerwa was in charge of Bulemezi’s one all draw against Butambala, which was also the tournament’s opener graced by his majesty Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi Kimera II on Saturday 12th December 2020 at FUFA Technical Center in Njeru.
Bulemezi has this morning had a training session under assistant coach Yusuf Kinene who is expected to lead the technical team in their second tie against Ssingo on Thursday 17th December 2020.
Mugerwa’s Bulemezi is the reigning champion having won the tournament last year with a 1-0 victory against Busiro in the final at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole.
South Sudan forward Emmanuel Loki scored for Bulemezi.
