St. Noa beats Kawempe Muslim to successfully defend FEASSA Girls’ Football title

In a thrilling all-Ugandan final, St. Noa Girls Secondary School-Zana edged Kawempe Muslim 1-0 to successfully defend the 2025 Federation of East Africa Secondary School Sports Associations (FEASSA) girls’ football title.

The match, held on Friday, August 22nd, at Kakamega High School grounds in Kenya, was one of the tournament’s most exciting encounters.

Sumayiah Nalumu scored the decisive goal in the 13th minute, capitalizing on a rebound from her own free kick that hit the crossbar.

This well-deserved win marked St. Noa’s third FEASSA title, tying with Kawempe Muslim as Uganda’s most successful sides in the tournament.

St. Noa’s journey to the final was marked by an impressive performance, having won all seven games without conceding a single goal. In the semi-finals, they defeated Amus College School 1-0, courtesy of Nalumu’s free kick strike.

The team’s dominance was evident throughout the tournament, scoring a record 14 goals and conceding nill in seven games.

Kawempe Muslim’s Agnes Nabukenya  impressive form earned her the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award and the tournament’s top scorer title with nine goals.

By defending the title, St. Noa Girls Secondary School-Zana became the first Ugandan school to achieve this feat.

The Zana-based school has now won the FEASSA title in 2022 (Arusha, Tanzania), 2024 (Bukedea, Uganda), and 2025 (Kakamega, Kenya).

St. Noa, Nangwa Comprehensive School, and Kawempe Muslim are the only three schools to have won the FEASSA Girls’ Football title for Uganda.
