Fantastic Four: Amus Duo, Kintu, and Ashaba Scoop November Gongs.

Women’s Football took center stage today, Monday, 23rd December 2024, as Finance Trust Bank awarded the best coaches and players for November.

The prestigious awards recognized outstanding performers in both the Super and Elite League.

In the Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League, Amus duo made a stunning impact, scooping both the coach and player of the month awards.

Head coach Faridah Bulega edged out Rines SS WFC coach Bright Nyanzi and She Maroons tactician Simon Peter Ocuka to claim the coaching accolade


Bulega’s tactical prowess guided Amus to an impressive two wins, two draws, and one loss in November, propelling the team to a third-place finish in the first round of the league.

For the Player of the Month award, Amus’ Esther Namataka outshone Phionah Arachi and Daisy Nakaziriof Rines SS WFC and Kamapla Queens FC, respectively.

Namataka’s impressive stats included two goals and four assists.

The recognition comes with a plaque and a cash prize of UGX 500,000 for each winner.

Bulega expressed her gratitude to her team, saying, “I’m also grateful to my incredible team at Amus College, including the administrators, coaching staff, and players. Your tireless efforts and commitment to our shared goals have been instrumental in our success.”

As an experienced coach, Bulega emphasized the importance of awards like these in promoting women’s football. “Awards like these are crucial in shining a light on the achievements of women in football, inspiring future generations to take up the sport.”

Bulega dedicated the award to her team, saying, “This recognition is not just a personal honour but a testament to our collective efforts.”

Meanwhile, in the Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Elite League, St. Noa’s coach Kintu Mwera and Shivan Ashaba of She Geme took home the coach and player of the month awards, respectively.


Coach Kintu led St. Noa’s to an impressive five victories in five games, while Ashaba netted an impressive five goals in five games.
