CAF President Dr. Patrice Motsepe’s tour to CHAN host Nations enters day two

The Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) President Dr. Patrice Motsepe’s inspection tour to host Nations ahead of the 2025 TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN) tournament, has entered day two.

This morning, Motsepe will inspect facilities in Kenya before connecting to Uganda.

His first stop was Tanzania where he inspected the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium, one of the key venues for the upcoming tournament.

While in Tanzania, Dr Motsepe thanked Tanzania’s President, Her Excellency Samia Suluhu Hassan, for her commitment and support of football development in the country.

Dr Motsepe also met with Zanzibar President Hussein Mwinyi at the State House.

As part of his tour, Dr. Motsepe will also visit Kenya and Uganda, the other two host nations for the 2024 CHAN.

He’ll be meeting with government officials, football leaders, and local organizing committees to ensure everything is in place for a successful tournament.

The inspection tour is a crucial step in preparing for the 2024 CHAN, and Dr. Motsepe’s visit demonstrates CAF’s commitment to delivering a world-class event.
