Soltilo Bright Stars appoints Mutyaba’s replacement as head coach 

After sacking Joseph Mutyaba on Friday afternoon, Soltilo Bright Stars is set to announce his replacement.

The StarTimes Uganda Premier League side has already agreed on personal terms with Alex Gitta to become their new coach.

Soltilo Bright Stars sits at the bottom of the table with only three points collected from seven games.

Yet to register a victory, Gitta’s immediate task will be to secure a win that will help them gain momentum and avoid early relegation.

Gitta’s first game will be at home against struggling Kitara on November 8, 2024, in Kavumba.

The tactician has previously coached Wakiso Giants FC, Express, Entebbe Football Club, Masavu, and Busiro Ssaza team.

During his playing days, Gitta played as a defender known for his game reading and intelligence.

He is also a qualified lawyer who graduated from Nkumba University.
