ers’ Association (WAKISSHA) sports committee held a Games’ teachers workshop purposely to launch the year’s calendar and review the rules both old and new.
The heavily attended workshop was at WAKISSHA headquarters in Wakiso City.
In his communication, Wakiso Region sports committee chairman Gerald Katamba cautioned Schools against forgeries during players’ transfers from one school to another.
“Avoid forgeries in players transfers to be safe. We are likely to witness criminal cases due to forged release letters, fake receipts among others due to the introduction of this new rule”.
The rule denies a fully sponsored player to move from one school to another without a release letter from her former school, signed and stamped by the head-teacher.
Over 150 games teachers from Wakiso Region attended the one day workshop.
Hajji Badru Ndugwa (General Secretary WAKISSHA), Brian Ssenyondo (Wakiso district sports officer, Ernest Lugoolobi (USSSA representative) and WAKISSHA sports committee lead by chairman Gerald Katamba were in attendance.
