UPL: KCCA FC Put Eight Past Onduparaka To Set New Record

The on form striking duo, Brian Aheebwa, Samuel Ssenyonjo scored a haul and a hat-trick respectively as the Kasasiro Boys put eight past Onduparaka FC to set a fresh record in Uganda Premier league against the latter.

It started like any other fixture on match day two, but the Caterpillars from Arua never knew that what happened against them three years ago while at Lugogo will return and this time in mega bonus.

The Bainomigisha Vialli coached side tried to be resilient in the first quarter of the game played at Empty MTN Omondi Stadium- Lugogo until the sharp shooter, Brian Aheebwa unlocked them in the 17th minute, seven minutes before Herbert Achai doubled the lead for the home side with a long range strike.

Samuel Ssenyonjo came in with a back to back strikes in 29th and 37th minutes before Aheebwa bounced back with a penalty conversion to seal the first stanza when KCCA FC us in a 5-0 lead.

The boy from Mbarara, came back in the 66th and seal the scoring trail in the 73nd minute for the Mike Mutebi coached side created a new record against the Caterpillars.

Currently Brian Aheebwa tops the scorers’ chart with five goals while Sam Ssenyonjo second with four in two games.

The over perfect performance win for Kasasiro, pushed them back to the top of the table.

The biggest win KCCA had against Onduparaka was 7-0 in 2017 when Allan Okello was unleashed on the scene. Now 8-0 is the new set record against the two, and since Proline’s 8-1 win against Hoima Busia in 2011/21, this became the first biggest winning margin in nine years.

In other day’s results, Wakiso Giants at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium shared points with Kyetume following a two all draw, BUL FC beat troubled Busoga United 3-1 and Police registered their first win against newbies MYDA FC.
