
Uganda’s Bombers ready to shine in Africa Zone 3 Boxing Championships
Uganda’s esteemed national boxing team, The Bombers, is poised to depart for Nairobi on Tuesday, October 14, to compete in the prestigious Africa Zone 3 Boxing Championships.
The tournament, scheduled from October 15 to 25, 2025, will feature top boxers from 12 countries, including DR Congo, Tanzania, Burundi, Cameroon, Congo Brazzaville, Ethiopia, Somalia, Gabon, Rwanda, Central African Republic, and hosts Kenya.
The championship sanctioned by the African Boxing Confederation and the International Boxing Association, offers a platform for Africa’s rising stars to showcase their skills and gain international exposure.
Uganda’s team, comprising experienced fighters and new talent, aims to reaffirm its regional dominance.
The Squad
The Bombers’ squad includes talented boxers such as Farahat Manirola, Kato Kazibwe Ahmed, Matovu Livingstone, and Murungi Kasim in the men’s category, while Muduwah Brenda, Katushabe Angel, and Nabikolo Fatuma lead the charge in the women’s category.
With the nation’s support behind them, The Bombers are ready to deliver an impressive performance and bring glory to Uganda.
