Abdul Ssebute, the former East and Central African Bantamweight champion, has signed a three-year management agreement with Albion Boxing Academy Cambridge in partnership with Nara Promotionz to advance his professional boxing career.
Under the deal, the Cambridge-based academy will oversee Ssebute’s training, provide modern facilities, and engage experienced trainers to prepare him for opportunities with leading promoters across the United Kingdom.
Ssebute, who currently works as a chef at Hobson Hotel Cambridge, welcomed the agreement, describing it as a major step toward realizing his long-held ambitions in professional boxing.
He noted that building a successful career in the UK ring requires strong management and expressed gratitude to his employers, the hotel management, and his new promotional team for their support.
His manager, Gary Davidson Jnr, alongside trainer Tony Petchell, praised Ssebute’s discipline, power, and determination.
Officials from Nara Promotionz, including director Lubowa Babu Hussein and secretary Edirisa Kiyemba, also endorsed the partnership.
Meanwhile, Hobson Hotel Cambridge has pledged support and sponsorship for Ssebute during upcoming fight nights.
