The 2025 Association of Uganda University Sports (AUUS) Games Netball championship quarter-finals have delivered shocking results, with defending champions Victoria University suffering a stunning 33-26 exit at the hands of Makerere University.

The holders have struggled since the start of the tournament, and their sorrowful departure marks a major upset.

Favorites Kampala University (KU) have maintained their sublime form, eliminating Bugema University 36-23 to book a semi-final ticket.

KU’s consistent performance has made them the best-performing side in the tournament, and they will now face hosts UCU in a highly anticipated clash of the Titans.

UCU, who are strong contenders, made light work of St. Lawrence University (SLAU), winning 31-16 in the quarter-final.

Nkumba University also secured a semi-final spot, defeating Makerere University Business School (MUBS) 34-21.

The semi-finals promise to be thrilling, with KU taking on Nkumba. The other semi-final will see UCU entertain Makerere University.

– UCU 31-16 SLAU

– Nkumba 34-21 MUBS

– Makerere 33-26 Victoria

– KU 36-23 Bugema
