Ten man SC Villa overcome early setback to advance in Uganda Cup

SC Villa has secured a spot in the Uganda Cup round of 32, coming from behind to defeat Pallisa Hospital FC 2-1 despite being reduced to 10 men early on.

The Jogoos’ goalkeeper, Jean-Braddy Wokorach, was sent off in the 4th minute, prompting a tactical substitution by the technical bench.

Undeterred, SC Villa pressed on, with captain David Owori scoring the equalizer in the 32nd minute.

Aslam Ssemakula sealed the win with a 80th-minute strike from time, securing SC Villa’s place in the next round.

The victory adds to the list of teams that have confirmed their slot in the round of 32, including holders Vipers SC, BUL FC, KCCA FC, and Express FC.
