
St. Noa Girls storm into USSSA Elite Games semi-finals with dominant victory over Bukedea
St. Noa Girls Secondary School-Zana, the defending champions of the Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) Elite Games, have powered their way into the semi-finals with a resounding 4-0 win over Bukedea Comprehensive School in the quarter-finals.
The Zana-based giants were in fine form as debutant Maron Serenge netted a brace, while Janifer Adong and midfielder Brendah Nassaka each added a goal to secure the emphatic victory and a place in the final four.
St. Noa’s journey to the semi-finals saw them dominate in the group stages, culminating in a thrilling 6-1 win over Panyadoli in their final match, following a frustrating 1-1 draw with their neighbors, Standard High School-Zzana.
In other quarter-final encounters, Kawempe Muslim dispatched Panyadoli 4-0, thanks to two goals each from Agnes Nabukenya and Shadia Nabirye, propelling them into the semi-finals.
Uganda Martyrs triumphed 2-1 over Standard High School-Zzana, while Sheema Girls secured a comfortable 3-0 victory over Nkoma SS.
The upcoming semi-final matchups promise more exciting action, with St. Noa set to face Sheema Girls, while Kawempe Muslim will lock horns with Uganda Martyrs in a highly anticipated Kampala derby.
As the tournament intensifies, all eyes will be on the last four teams as they battle for supremacy in this year’s USSSA Elite Games.
