SC Villa out to overturn Uganda Cranes Select first leg loss, BUL, Maroons to lock horns

Uganda Premier League champions SC Villa will play Uganda Cranes Select side hoping to overturn a 2-1 first leg loss when the sides meet in the second leg.
The FUFA Super 8 quarter-final second leg will be played this Wednesday evening, 7th August 2023 at the Philp Omondi Stadium in Lugogo.
The Morley Byekwaso coached SC Villa lost bottled a 1-0 lead to lose 2-1 against Uganda Cranes Select side in the first leg.
Arnold Odong sent the Jogoos into a 1-0 lead in the 26th . However, celebrations were short lived as Isaac Owgang equalized for the Cranes Select side three minutes later.
Godfrey Ssekibengo (URA FC) scored the winner for Cranes Select in the 79th minute as his side took the first leg advantage.
This was Morley Byekwaso’s first competitive match as interim head coach in charge of the Jogoos since the departure of Dusan Stajanovic.
Meanwhile, BUL and Maroons face off in the last day’s duel. The two sides drew 1-all in the first leg.
Goals from Omirambe (Maroons) and Jerome Kirya for BUL FC were witnessed in the opener.
