Police FC edges Express FC in thrilling UPL encounter

Police FC has secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Express FC in a closely contested match, marking their first win at the new Kiira Road Police Arena in Kamwokya.

The win propels Police FC to the top of the league table with 4 points, level with BUL FC, while Express FC slips to sixth place with 3 points.

Under Matia Lule’s stewardship, Police FC made two key changes to their lineup, introducing Lawrence Tezikya and Umar Kasumba.

These changes proved pivotal, with Kasumba scoring the opening goal in the 28th minute.

Express FC equalized at halftime when Ssenoga Kagawa converted a penalty kick after Richard Bassangwa was fouled in the box.

However, the home side regained their lead in the 76th minute with new recruit Bedia Ikamba curling home a beautifully weighted pass from Tezikya.

The Cops held on to their lead, securing maximum points and condemning Express FC to their first loss of the season.
