Nsangi Zone throws off USSSA National Ball Games II qualifiers in Wakiso

The 2025 Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) National Ball Games II qualifiers for the Nsangi Zone in Wakiso District have officially commenced at Buddo Secondary School.
Several schools from the Nsangi Zone have gathered at the venue to compete in various disciplines, including Netball, Volleyball, Basketball 3X3, Chess, and U16 football for both boys and girls.
Netball
The Netball competition has drawn eight schools, divided into two groups. Group A comprises hosts Buddo SS, St. Marios, Nsangi SS, and St. Catherine, while Group B features last year’s runners-up Madinah Islamic, St. Mark’s College – Namagoma, Kisozi High School, and Kinaawa High School.
Volleyball
In Volleyball, the girls’ category features Trinity College – Nabbingo, Nsangi SS, St. Mark’s College, and Kinaawa High School, competing in a round-robin format.
The boys’ category includes St. Catherine, Nsangi SS, St. Mark’s College, and Kinaawa High School, also competing in a round-robin format.
Basketball 3X3
Basketball 3X3 has attracted six teams, with three teams in each category.
The boys’ teams are Buddo SS, St. Mark’s College, and Kinaawa High, while the girls’ teams are Buddo SS, St. Mark’s College, and Trinity College.
Chess
The Chess competition features three teams: Nsangi SS, Trinity College, and Buddo SS.
U16 Football
The U16 football tournament has four participating teams: Brightland High School, Buddo SS, St. James, and Nsangi SS.
Qualification Slots
The Nsangi Zone games will offer qualification slots to the Wakiso District Qualifiers as follows:
– Nsangi Zone will have four slots in Netball, Volleyball, and Chess.
– U16 Football and Basketball 3X3 will have three slots each.
The Nsangi Zone games are set to conclude this evening, and the top teams will proceed to the Wakiso District Qualifiers, scheduled to take place in Wampeewo Zone from June 18th to 20th.
