Mbarara City, UPPC share spoils in a tense Uganda Premier League encounter

A closely contested Uganda Premier League match between Mbarara City and Entebbe UPPC ended in a 1-1 draw at Rwamwanja Stadium on Wednesday, with Muhammed Kanyike and Ambrose Kigozi scoring for the hosts and visitors, respectively.

Mbarara City took the lead in the 73rd minute through Muhammed Kanyike, who capitalized on a rebound, but UPPC restored parity just six minutes later as Ambrose Kigozi netted after a clever feed from Hassan Ssenyonjo.

Despite both sides pushing for a winner, the match ended in a stalemate, leaving Mbarara City 15th with six points from nine games, while UPPC climbs to fifth with 14 points.

In other action, Police FC thrashed Buhimba United Saints 4-0 at Kira Road Stadium, showcasing their attacking prowess.
