Mangat takes command of Kyabazinga Rally

Three time National rally champion Jas Mangat in his Hyundai  i20 takes day one lead of the 2024  Moil EMC Kyabazinga Rally.

Mangat co-driven by Enock Oling posted the fastest time of 17 minutes, 49.4 seconds to take lead of day one of the fourth NRC round.

In the second place, was two time champion Nasser Mutebi with 20 minutes  07.4 seconds.

The two crews are separated by a time difference of two minutes 18seconds.

Rookie crew of Musa Ssegaabwe and Mathias in a Mitsubishi  Evo9 sleep third after leg one.

With a third best time of 21 minutes 30.1 second ahead of their 50 percent running in the rally, the Clubman Rally are championship contenders.

Equity Bank-sponsored crew of Doctor Moustapha Mukasa and Lawrence Mwambazi ended the day fourth with times of 21 minutes 46.9 seconds.

Day two will get underway with two early morning stages of Segamu 14 and MCR1, which are to be repeated in covering a competitive distance of 80km for the day before the end of the event.

By the descending start order of the day, Mangat sweeps the road as the last car, car number 89  Toyota Celica of Nasib Ssesanga hits the stages as car number one on the road.
