Kitara snatches a narrow win over URA in Uganda Premier League
In a tightly contested Uganda Premier League match at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo, on Thursday evening, Kitara FC edged URA FC 1-0, claiming crucial away points.
The decisive moment came early, with Patrick Henry Kaddu converting a penalty in the second minute after a foul on Jimmy Kalema in the box, sending the Royals ahead.

URA pushed hard for an equalizer, with Nelson Ssenkatuka hitting the side netting in the 12th minute, but Kitara’s defense held firm.
The hosts’ attacking efforts, led by Justine Opiro’s long throw-ins, tested Kitara’s backline throughout the first half, yet the visitors maintained their lead.

Despite late chances for URA, including a missed header by Arthur Kiggundu in the 82nd minute, Kitara secured the win.
The victory lifts Kitara to fourth place with 16 points from eight games, while URA drops to eighth with 11 points from nine games.
