The 37th edition of the UMEA Solidarity Games has reached the semifinal stage, with Masaka SS, Kibuli SS, Kawempe Muslim, and hosts Namagabi SS emerging as the top four teams.

The semifinals promise to be thrilling, with defending champions Masaka SS facing off against Kawempe Muslim, and Kibuli SS taking on hosts Namagabi SS.

Kibuli SS secured their semifinal spot by defeating Bulo Parents 4-3 in a penalty shootout, following a 1-1 draw in regular time.

Joshua Aronda scored for Kibuli SS, while Jovan Katoramu netted for Bulo Parents.

Kawempe Muslim edged out Kyadondo SS 1-0 in a closely contested match, with Steven Bukenya scoring the winning goal in the 23rd minute.

Hosts Namagabi SS also won 1-0 against Kawanda SS, thanks to a goal from Hassan Wasswa Kiyega.

Defending champions Masaka SS defeated Central College Kabimbiri 3-0 in the quarterfinals, securing their spot in the semifinals.

The semifinal matches will be played this morning, with the winners advancing to the final, which will be held later in the evening at Namagabi SS grounds.

The final will be played later in the evening, followed by an awarding ceremony.

The semifinal fixtures are as follows:

– Kawempe Muslim vs Masaka SS (Namagabi SS grounds).

– Kibuli SS vs Namagabi SS (Ssaza grounds in Ntenjeru).
