KCCA secured a 4-2 victory over Calvary at the MTN Omndi stadium, Lugogo, propelling them to the top of the table.
The hosts dominated the match, with Ivan Ahimbisibwe, Umar Lutalo, Shafik Nana Kwikiriza, and Herbert Achai scoring for KCCA.
Ahimbisibwe set the tone for KCCA’s win, scoring in the 10th minute.
Lutalo doubled the lead four minutes later, and Nana Kwikiriza stretched the lead to 3-0 just before halftime.
Calvary pulled one back through Lawrence Olaboro two minutes into the second half, but their hopes of a comeback were short-lived.
Achai added a fourth goal for KCCA from a corner in the 63rd minute, and although Stephen Oriokot scored a consolation goal for Calvary 10 minutes later, it was too little, too late.
The win takes KCCA to 11 points after five league matches, while Calvary remains second from bottom with just one point.
Calvary’s losing streak on the road continues, and they will look to turn their fortunes around when they face UPPC Entebbe in their first home game at Mudigo.
Meanwhile, KCCA will play Vipers SC at St. Mary’s stadium, Kitende on the same day.
