Isabirye registers a crucial win on his return to BUL FC

In a gritty encounter at Midigo Primary School Grounds, BUL FC finally snapped their five-match losing streak, edging past struggling Calvary FC 1-0 on Wednesday evening.

The victory, their first in seven games, marked a welcome return to form for head coach Alex Isabirye Musongola, who claimed his maiden win since reclaiming the helm at the Jinja outfit.

Karim Ndugwa’s ninth-minute strike, a calm finish from Reagan Kalyowa’s assist, proved the match-wonder, as BUL FC’s disciplined defense held firm against a Calvary side desperate for a breakthrough.

Despite a scrappy second half, BUL FC’s resilience paid off, with Ndugwa’s goal standing tall as they secured a hard-fought three points.

Meanwhile, Kitara FC returned to winning ways, defeating UPDF FC 2-1 at Royals’ Park in Butema.

The win lifts BUL FC to 13 points, propelling them to eighth in the Uganda Premier League table, while Calvary remains rock-bottom with just three points, still searching for their first win of the season.

Ndugwa’s decisive goal earned him the Man of the Match award, capping off a satisfying evening for the visitors.

As BUL FC looks to build on this momentum, Calvary’s struggles show no signs of abating, with their home woes continuing to haunt them.
