Hon. Ogwang flags off Buddo SS to Casablanca Morocco for Africa Schools championship

State Minister for sports Hon. Peter Ogwang flagged off Buddo Secondary School to Casablanca, Morocco for the forthcoming Africa 3X3 schools championship.

The championship will be held starting Sunday 26 February to 3rd march in Casablanca.

Buddo Secondary School qualified to the tournament after emerging champions at the Federation of East African Secondary Schools Sports Association (FEASSSA) 19th edition in Arusha, Tanzania.

This means Buddo represents both Uganda and East African region at the championship.

The eight players and six officials were flagged off on Thursday, the 23rd March at the Copper Chimney Restaurant in Lugogo, Kampala.

Gideon Aaron Kuteesa, Ethan Shiima, Elly Mutabingwa and Herbert Junior Lumansi form the boys team

Whilst the girls’ team include Elizabeth Nakabugo, Angella Auma, Christine Namyalo and Happy Daisy Atukunda.

At the flag off, Hon. Ogwang was in company with the National Council of Sports (NCS) chairman Ambrose Tashobya, Commissioner of Physical education and sports Rev. Canon Duncans Mugumya, Justus Mugisha (president of the Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association), among others.

The leader of delegation is Rev Mugumya and will be deputized by Buddo Secondary School games teacher Fred Kwizera
