The latest FIFA/Coca-Cola Men’s World Ranking, released in October 2025, reveals several notable changes following a busy round of international matches.

Spain has strengthened its grip on the top spot, thanks to consecutive victories in the FIFA World Cup 26 qualifiers.

Shifts in the Top 10

Argentina, the reigning world champions, have leapfrogged France to take second place, while Germany has reclaimed its spot in the top 10 after a brief absence.

The Netherlands has edged ahead of Brazil, capitalizing on the Seleção’s stumble in a friendly against Japan.

Rising Stars

Several teams have made significant gains in the rankings, including Niger, Lesotho, and the Faroe Islands, who have all climbed nine places.

Kosovo has reached a historic high, while Syria and Liberia have also made notable progress.

Losers

Greece and Sweden have suffered significant drops in the rankings, falling eight places each after losing their recent qualifying matches.

The rankings continue to shift as teams prepare for the FIFA World Cup 26.
