FEASSA 2024 Officially opened: Host Bukedea ease past Tanzania’s Benjamin Mkapa
The 21st edition of the FEASSA games have commenced in Uganda with over 3000 students from East African region.
In the tournament opener graced by the president of Uganda, co-host Bukedea Comprehensive School easily won 2-0 against Benjamin Mkapa SS of Tanzania.
Reagan Ssekisambu and Yusuf Ssebumpenje were on target for Bukedea Comprehensive School.
The historical opener was held this Sunday, the 18th at Bukedea Comprehensive School Stadium.
This year’s games attracted 4 countries including hosts Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda and Tanzania.
Uganda are the defending champions of the overall title and will be looking forward to utilize the home advantage to defend it for the fourth time consecutively having won it before in 2019, 2022 in Arusha and 2023 in Huye Rwanda.

The games were graced by the presence of Uganda’s Head of State HE .YKM and Laurent Petrynka the President of the International School Sport Federation (ISF).” Justus Mugisha, USSSA and FEASSA President in his pre championship message

The games will run till late August, on Monday, the 27th.
The games will continue tomorrow with three fixtures. Holders St. Mary’s Boarding Secondary School Kitende will play against Kenya champions High Way High School.
Hosts Amus College School will face off with Kenya’s Musingu while Rugungwa of Rwanda battle Tanzania’s Kalangalala.
