Uganda premier league reigning champions Vipers SC shall this morning leave the country to Tanzania for a CAF champions league second round group tie against giants Simba SC.

The Kitende based side face off with Simba SC at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in the middle of the week.

However, Vipers SC suffers a huge blow and due to injury, they will be without defender Murushid Juuko who is currently nursing his ankle.

Midfielder Bright Anukani missed the trip due to malaria.

The Venoms who currently sit at the bottom in group C with a point will also be without defender Disan Galiwango and Marvin Youngman who were dropped.

Vipers SC suffered a home 1-0 defeat to Tanzania’s Simba in the Caf Champions League at St. Mary’s Stadium Kitende under floodlights a week ago.

Baka Inonga Henock scored a first half goal for the visitors to smile home with vital three points.

Vipers were given a hash CAF Champions league group stages welcome in a frustrating 5-0 loss to Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca in their group C opener.

Hamza Khabba, Jamal Harkass, Roger Aholou, Yousri Bouzok and Mohamed Zrida had a goal each on the day.

In their second group engagement, Vipers SC and Horoya AC drew 0-0 in a wild match at Mary’s Stadium on 19th February.

Raja Casablanca occupies the top of the group with nine (9) points, Horoya AC second on four (4) and Simba third (3rd ).

Goalkeepers: Alfred Mudekereza, Fabien Mutombora.

Defenders: Livingstone Mulondo, Hilary Mukundane, Isa Mubiru, Ashraf Mandela, Bashir Asiku, Enock Luyima.

Midfielders: Abdu Lumala, Siraje Sentamu, Olivier Osomba, Robert Serge Mwenge, Abdu Karim Watambala, Najib Yiga, Frank ‘Zaga’ Tumwesigye.

Forwards: Ibrahim Orit, Martin Kizza, Yunus Sentamu, Abubakar Lawal, Israel Desire Tety.
