Catherine Nagadya inspires Kampala Queens to dominant win over Uganda Martyrs 

Kampala Queens secured a convincing 2-0 victory over Uganda Martyrs in the Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women’s Super League encounter at Omondi Stadium, Lugogo, on Sunday.

Catherine Nagadya scored a brace, sealing the win for the reigning champions.

Nagadya opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 15th minute, after Kamiyat Naigaga was fouled in a dangerous area.

She then doubled the lead before halftime, cementing Kampala Queens’ control of the game. Nagadya’s outstanding performance earned her the Woman of the Match award.

The victory propels Kampala Queens to second place on the log with 17 points, while Uganda Martyrs slip to ninth with five points after seven games.

Kampala Queens return to action on Saturday, November 22, against She Maroons, while Uganda Martyrs host Olila HS on the same day.

In other action, Rines SS WFC edged She Maroons 1-0 at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium in Wakiso, courtesy of Yasmeen Nalukwago’s decisive goal.

The win takes Rines SS to 10 points, occupying fourth position after seven games.
