Bukedea Comprehensive School makes history with FEASSA football triumph on debut edition

In a thrilling conclusion to the 2025 FEASSA boys’ football championship, Uganda’s Bukedea Comprehensive School emerged victorious, defeating local favorites Musingu High School 2-1 in the final match held in Kisumu, Kenya.

Despite the challenging circumstances, Bukedea’s determination and skill shone through, as Form One student Amisi Yabil Businge scored a brace to seal the win and claim the tournament’s MVP award.

The road to the final was not without its obstacles, as rampant hooliganism in Kakamega forced the organizers to relocate the match to Kisumu for safety reasons.

Bukedea’s team even had to abandon their bus and travel in a Kenyan school bus to avoid potential risks.

However, these challenges only seemed to fuel their determination.

Bukedea Comprehensive School topped the group stages with 14 points and went on to defeat Butere Boy’s High School 1-0 in the semi-finals before facing Musingu in the final.

Trailing 1-0, Bukedea staged a remarkable comeback, with Amisi’s goals turning the tide in their favor.

This historic win marked Bukedea’s first-ever FEASSA title, bringing glory to Uganda and cementing their name in the annals of East African school football.
