Bevis Mugabi signs contract extension at Motherwell
Uganda Cranes star Bevis Mugabi has signed contract extension with the Scottish Premier League side Motherwell FC.
The defender who had less than a year left on his contract, will stay at the Fir Park until the summer of 2024.
Putting pen to paper by the center back was a relief to Motherwell FC manager Graham Alexander.
“We’re delighted that Bevis has committed himself to us for the next two seasons,” Alexander said.
The towering defender joined the club in September 2019, initially on a short-term deal.
He has however established himself as a key figure and has in the process made 62 appearances for the club.
“He’s been a constant in our team, and even though we have seen a great improvement from him over the last 12 months, we still believe there’s more to come from him.”
“He’s a great character to have at our club and he wants to win,” Alexander noted.
Motherwell are currently 5th with 33 points collected from 26 games. They host Aberdeen (8th) on Saturday on match day 27.
