betPawa reaffirms commitment to growing Futsal in Uganda
betPawa has reaffirmed its commitment to growing futsal in Uganda through a UGX 334,522,000 sponsorship deal with the Futsal Association of Uganda (FAU). betPawa has reaffirmed its commitment to growing futsal in Uganda through a UGX 334,522,000 sponsorship deal with the Futsal Association of Uganda (FAU).

The partnership includes the betPawa Futsal Super League, Futsal Uganda, and the Futsal Super Cup.

The Locker Room Bonus (LRB) program is a key aspect of the partnership, providing direct incentives for teams to perform well.

Each winning team receives UGX 1,235,000 per match, shared among 13 members (10 players and 3 technical staff).

The total LRB for the season stands at UGX 232,180,000.

At the Futsal award ceremony, betPawa rewarded the Best Goalkeeper, Golden Boot, Best Defender, Best Midfielder, Young Player, and Best Coach with a cash prize worth Shs500,000 each.

Team awards include UGX 2.5M for the Super League winners, UGX 2M for the Uganda Cup, and UGX 1M for the Super Cup.

“Our LRB model ensures players and staff are rewarded for excellence. This isn’t just about sponsorship, it’s a catalyst for professionalism,” said Ivy Nyonyozi Igunduura, betPawa East Africa Regional Manager.

Hamzah Jjunju, FAU Chairperson, echoed betPawa’s sentiments, stating, “betPawa’s support has revolutionized futsal. The bonuses raise stakes and talent standards.”

The Super Cup Final between Park FC and Mengo FC saw Park FC emerge victorious, winning 7-6.

The winners took home UGX 1,000,000+ LRB, highlighting betPawa’s commitment to on-field success.

Mengo City had previously won the league title, cashing in UGX 2,500,000.

Awards recipients included:

– Best Goalkeeper: Huzaimah Lukwago

– Best Defender: Samuel Omara

– Best Midfielder: Waleed Bashir

– Top scorer: Ilyas Omran

– Coach of the season: Abdullahi Abdifatah
