Uganda Christian University (UCU) has emerged as the 2025 Association of Uganda University Sports (AUUS) Games Netball champions, defeating Kampala University (KU) 24-23 in a heart-stopping final.

The hosts, who were the last edition’s finalists, turned the tables on KU, who had dominated the first quarter, leading 5-4 and 11-10 by halftime.
However, UCU’s determination and teamwork paid off in the third quarter, as they forced a draw score of 17-17.
The final quarter was an intense, pressure-packed affair, with UCU’s resilience and focus ultimately securing the win.

Both teams had topped their respective groups unbeaten, showcasing their strength and consistency throughout the tournament.

The AUUS Games Netball Championship, held at UCU in Mukono, featured 12 teams competing over seven days, culminating in UCU’s triumphant win.
Meanwhile, Makerere University finished on a bronze winning 32-26 against Nkumba University.
