A New Chapter Unfolds: Hussein Mbalangu takes the helm at URA FC

In a move aimed at reigniting their season, URA FC has officially unveiled Hussein Mbalangu as the club’s new head coach, effective immediately.

The CAF A-licensed tactician takes over from Alex Isabirye Musongola, with the daunting task of steering the Tax Collectors back to winning ways after a sluggish start to the league season.

Mbalangu, known for his ambitious and confident approach, arrives with a trusted technical team, including Bastu Semuyaba as first assistant coach, Richard Kansole as second assistant coach, Muwadda Byuma as goalkeeper coach, and Farouk Osama as fitness trainer.

“We are here to work and to bring back the success this great club deserves,” Mbalangu declared during his official unveiling in Zanzibar.

“I thank the management for the trust and the opportunity. We are ready to start immediately, beginning with the Mapinduzi Cup.

Those who haven’t played URA FC yet should get scared — we are here to win.”

A seasoned coach with a wealth of experience, Mbalangu has previously worked with Banadir SC (now Mogadishu City) in Somalia, Blacks Power, Arua Hill, Mbarara City, and NEC FC. His immediate focus will be the Mapinduzi Cup, where URA FC will face Mlandenge FC on December 31st at the Amaan Stadium.

The club’s management has expressed optimism about Mbalangu’s appointment, hoping his leadership will mark a fresh chapter in URA FC’s journey.

As the team prepares to take on Mlandenge FC, fans are eager to see their new coach in action.
