Uganda to Host Squash Federation of Africa Seniors’ Championships

The Uganda Squash Federation, in collaboration with the National Council of Sports (NCS), has officially launched the Squash Federation of Africa Seniors’ Championships.

The event is scheduled to take place from November 17th to 22nd, 2025, in Kampala.

11 out of the expected 20 have confirmed participation. Countries, including hosts Uganda, Zambia, Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Sierra Leone, Ghana, South Africa, Namibia, and Rwanda, have confirmed their participation in the championships.

The Venues where the matches will be held are Kampala Club, Kabira Country Club, and Pearl of Africa.

The association has set aside $15,000 in prize money for the winners in various categories.

At this championship, players will compete in individual and team events categories.

The championships will feature prominent figures in the sport, including William Louis Merie, CEO of the World Squash Federation, Dr. Lucky Mlilo, newly re-elected president of the Africa Squash Federation, leading a delegation from the federation.

The event is supported by the National Council of Sports and Uganda Squash Federation, with additional sponsorship from Fundamental Real Estate Limited and Mogas Uganda.

The championships are expected to attract hundreds of participants from over 20 African countries, making it a premier squash event on the continent.
