Kawempe Muslim secures first win with Nabukenya’s Brace as Boni Consilli slip again

Uganda’s representatives, Kawempe Muslim Secondary School, have registered their first win at the 2025 Federation of East Africa Secondary School Sports Associations (FEASSA) Games in Kakamega, Kenya, courtesy of Agnes Nabukenya’s brace.

Nabukenya’s early goal gave Kawempe a 1-0 lead at halftime, but PSBB Huye equalized with a well-taken free kick 10 minutes into the second half, levelled the score at 1-1.

However, Nabukenya carried her team to victory, scoring her second goal three minutes from the end to guide Kawempe to a 2-1 win.

This victory marks Kawempe’s first win in the championship, having previously drawn 1-1 with Kenya’s Madira and 0-0 with defending champions St. Noa Girls Secondary School-Zana.

With this win, Kawempe Muslim has moved to five points in three games, with two more matches against Kenyan side Nasokol and Tanzania’s Alliance High School.

Meanwhile, another Ugandan representative, Boni-Consili, seems to be out of contention, having lost three consecutive games: 1-0 to Butere, 4-0 to Amus College, and 1-0 to Kenya’s Kobala.

St. Noa Girls Secondary School-Zana maintained their impressive form with a 4-0 thrashing of Tanzania’s Alliance High School in their matchday three, solidifying their position as a top contender in the tournament.
