USSSA Ball Games II: Lacrosse matches continue in Tororo with day three set to excite

The 2025 Uganda Secondary School Sports Association (USSSA) Ball Games 2 kicked off on Sunday, July 13th, in Tororo, with Lacrosse sport matches taking center stage.
The games continued on Monday at the Tororo Parents school playground, featuring a number of exciting matches.
Girls’ Lacrosse Results
In the girls’ category, Nabisunsa Girls School and Bombo Army Secondary School have emerged as early frontrunners, winning two matches each.
Nabisunsa Girls School thrashed Kigezi High School 16-0 and Mt. St. Mary’s College Namagunga 14-4, while Bombo Army SS humbled Muzza High School 14-3 and Kigezi High School 12-1.
Muzza High School also registered a win, beating Kigezi High School 11-3.
Boys’ Lacrosse Results
In the boys’ category, hosts St. Peter’s College Tororo got off to a rocky start, losing to Empower International Academy 11-13 and Kigezi High School 7-10.
Bombo Army Secondary School, on the other hand, was ruthless in their 11-1 demolition of Kigezi High School.
Top Scorers
The current top scorer for the boys is Jonathan Soita (St. Peter’s College Tororo) with 7 goals, closely followed by Bombo Army’s Warid Kabuzi (6 goals) and Owen Twinamsiko (5 goals).
In the girls’ category, Nabisunsa’s Enid Alowo leads with 13 goals, one better than teammate Ladyshima Mulumba, while Sofia Aber (Bombo Army) has scored 10 goals so far.
USSSA Ball Games II: Mass Sports
The USSSA Ball Games II feature a wide range of sports, including normal football (U-14 and U-16), Rugby 7’s, Basketball (3X3 and U-16 for 5X5), Athletics, Cross Country, Volleyball, Handball, Chess, Netball, Scrabble, DanceSport, Ludo, Beach Soccer, Futsal, Woodball, Beach Volleyball, Cricket, Gymnastics, Baseball, and Softball.
Cricket, Gymnastics, Baseball, and Softball are demonstration games. The USSSA Ball Games 2 serve as a precursor to the FEASSA Games, which will take place in Kakamega, Kenya, next month.
Tuesday’s Break
The Lacrosse players will get a well-deserved break on Tuesday, July 15th, before the games resume the following day. The break will give the players a chance to rest and recover before the intense matches resume.
