U14 CAF Schools Boys Football Qualifiers: We are here to win this trophy – Buddo captain Kasibante

The 2025 U14 CAF Schools boys football tournament National Qualifiers kicked off at St. Peter’s College grounds in Tororo on Sunday, July 13th, with top teams showcasing their skills and talent.
Buddo Secondary School is among the teams that have made a strong impression in day one of the tournament.
Buddo SS Aims for Glory
Buddo SS captain, Kasibante Abdul Shakur, believes that this could be the year for his team to lift their first-ever U14 CAF Schools football tournament National Qualifiers title.
After their 3-0 win over Jinja College, Shakur attributed their success to self-belief, determination, and unity.
“Our target this year starts with winning this trophy to qualify for CAF Schools Qualifiers for the CECAFA region and then the destination is the Continental finals,” he said.
Kitende’s Convincing Win
Defending champions St. Mary’s Boarding Secondary School-Kitende also got off to a flying start with a 2-0 win over Standard High School Ndejje.
Prolific forward Kassim Wenaan scored a brace for Kitende, demonstrating his skill and technique.
Other Matches
In other matches, Amus College beat Kakungulu Memorial 2-0, with Amiri Waisswa and Aaron Sserumu scoring for the Kacumbala-based side.
God’s Way High School and MT St Henry’s High School played out a goalless draw, while Lubiri SS and St. Mary’s College Lugazi also drew 0-0.

The championship will climax on July 19th in Tororo, with the top teams competing for the coveted title and the chance to represent Uganda in the CAF Schools tournament.
