Uganda Boxing Champions League season 3 reaches climax on Boxing Day
The stage is set for an electrifying finale as the Uganda Boxing Champions League Season 3 comes to a close on Boxing Day, December 26, 2024, at the UMA Show Grounds in Lugogo.
The event promises to be a spectacular showcase of power, skill, entitlement, and glamour.
A corporate fight between long-time rivals Grenade Official and Rickman Manrick will add an extra layer of excitement, drawing in a huge number of music and boxing fans.
During an exclusive interview with Uganda Boxing Federation (UBF) president Moses Muhangi expressed his gratitude for the journey moved.
“As we approach the climax of Season Three of the Uganda Boxing Champions League, I am overwhelmed with joy and gratitude.
Despite the numerous challenges we faced, we have successfully navigated the journey, and tomorrow marks the culmination of our efforts.
I extend my sincerest appreciation to everyone involved in making this league a reality.
It’s been a steep learning curve, but we’ve emerged stronger and more resilient.
The experience gained from our previous seasons has been invaluable, enabling us to refine our product and strive for excellence.
The Uganda Boxing Champions League has demonstrated remarkable growth, with notable positives in:
– Competitiveness among boxers
– Sponsorship and partnership engagement
– Enhanced knowledge and expertise among boxing stakeholders, including boxers, judges, coaches, and referees.
As we look to the future, we remain committed to pushing the boundaries of our product.
With a four-month break until the start of Season Four in April, we will utilize this time to review, adjust, and package an even more exciting upcoming season.

The main event will feature a series of thrilling bouts, with different boxers vying for both personal and community glory.
One of the most anticipated matches is the National Open Light middleweight (Elite 71 kgs) bout between Owen Kibira (Lukanga Boxing Club) and Nerrick Tumusiime (Kololo High BC).
Kibira, who upgraded from Welterweight, will look to maintain his unbeaten streak, while Tumusiime aims to replicate his impressive performances from the start of the season.
The other exciting matchups include:
– Mutaasa Ashraf (Mutajjazi BC) vs. Serugo Bashir (Zebra BC) in the Light middleweight category
– Nuhu Batte vs. Matovu Ukasha (COBAP) in the Welterweight category
– Mukwaya Edward (Kiwatule) vs. Kanaabi Alex (KCCA) in the Welterweight category
– Kimuli Henry (Mutajjazi) vs. Murungi Kasim (East Coast) in the Featherweight Elite 57 Kgs
– Kemis Ibrahim vs. Adriko Jimmy in the Elite 60 Kgs.
