Uganda’s She Cranes Cruise into Semifinals with Dominant Win over Eswatini

In Thursday’s afternoon match, Uganda’s She Cranes outclassed Eswatini, securing a resounding 85-34 victory.

This win propelled them into the semifinals of the 2024 Africa Netball Cup.

Uganda, favored to win, led the game from start to finish. The She Cranes dominated the first quarter, 27-3, and stretched their lead to 48-13 by the end of the second quarter.

By the third quarter, Uganda had extended their advantage to 63-25. Coach Nelson Bogere’s side sealed the emphatic victory in the final quarter, winning 85-34.

This victory marked Uganda’s second win in three games, following their win against Namibia on Wednesday. The She Cranes had previously suffered a narrow 49-50 loss to Zimbabwe.

With their semifinal spot secured, the She Cranes await their opponents. The semifinals are scheduled to take place on Friday, December 13, with the final following on Saturday, December 14.

Uganda, three-time champions, last won the title six years ago and will be seeking their fourth championship this Saturday.
