Finance Trust Women Super League: Agnes Nabukenya grabs a hat-trick as dominant Kawempe humbles Rines

In what marked to be the greatest entertainment of match day one, Agnes Nabukenya scored thrice in the defending champions Kawempe Muslim Ladies’ 3-0 win against helpless Rines SS Women Football Club.

The Finance Trust Women Super League, tie was held at the fortress Kawempe Valley grounds in Kawempe on Sunday 29th September.

Striker Agnes Nabukenya bagged a hat-trick with a brace in the first half and a goal in the second stanza for her team to comfortably grab maximum points on the opening day of the season.

Nabukenya opened the scoring in the 33rd minute converting from the penalty mark.

She later made it 2-0 ten minutes later in the 43rd minute off a well laid cross from the right wing by junior graduate Shadia Nabirye.

The gigantic forward Nabukenya sealed the hat-trick and a 3-0 win for Kawempe with a cool finish at an hour mark.

The other game played on the day ended in a 0-0 draw between Makerere University WFC and She Maroons at Makerere.

Match day two will take place next weekend on Saturday, October 5th and Sunday, October 6th at 10 am.
