2025 FEASSA Girls’ Football: St. Noa, Kawempe, Amus secure semi-final spots

Despite facing numerous challenges, including uneven competition grounds and poor officiating, three Ugandan teams have emerged victorious in the ongoing Federation of East Africa Secondary School Sports Associations (FEASSA) girls’ football championship.

Defending champions St. Noa Girls Secondary School-Zana, Amus College School, and Kawempe Muslim have secured spots in the semi-finals, joining Kenya’s Njenga Girls.

St. Noa will face Amus College in the semi-finals. This all-Ugandan affair promises to be an exciting encounter, with St. Noa looking to build on their impressive group stage performance.

St. Noa finished the group stages unbeaten, topping Group A with 13 points from four wins and one draw, scoring 13 goals without conceding.

Kawempe Muslim Vs. Archbishop Njenga Girls Secondary School:

Kawempe Muslim, Uganda’s most successful side in the tournament, will face off against Group B leaders Archbishop Njenga.

Kawempe finished second in Group A with 11 points, having scored seven goals and conceded only one.

St. Noa Girls Secondary School-Zana and Kawempe Muslim are the only two schools to have won the FEASSA Girls’ Football title for Uganda.

St. Noa has won the title twice, in 2022 and 2024, while Kawempe Muslim has claimed the title three times, in 2012, 2019, and 2023.

With their strong performances in the group stages, both teams are looking to make a deep run in the tournament ¹ ².
